The Lobster Boil Golf Invitational 2018 – Itinerary
(All times are Atlantic Daylight Time (ADT), unless indicated EST)
Wednesday, July 18
- 8:20 PM (EST) Leave Toronto Westjet Flight 0280
- I will try to arrive at airport at 6pm. We can all meet at the pub just inside security if you are there early enough. Otherwise, see you on the plane. There are 24 of us on that flight.
- upon arrival, bus will take us to the Birches Inn and our family cottage
Thursday, July 19
- 6:30 AM – Breakfast at The Lakes. They will have breakfast sandwiches ready for us. There is a driving range to loosen up
- 6:50 AM - congregate on first tee for opening comments
- 7:00 AM - Modified Alternate Shot matches at The Lakes (your actual tee time can be anywhere between 7:00 and 8:00 AM)
- 10:30 - 11:30 – Lunch at The Lakes clubhouse
- 11:30 AM - Fourball Matches
- 4:00 PM – Pints and dinner
Evening at Leisure ...rest in your room or come hang out on the deck of our bungalow. To bed early, hopefully
Friday, July 20
- 6:00 AM - when you leave your room, make sure you are organized enough to be able to check out quickly after the round between 11 and 11:30
- 6:15 AM - Breakfast at The Lakes. They will have breakfast sandwiches ready for us. There is a driving range to loosen up
- 6:30 AM – Modified Alternate Shot Matches
- 10:00 – 11:00 AM – Brunch at The Lakes (British Open broadcast in the Clubhouse)
- 11:15 AM - Bus Leaves for the Big Break Competition (be checked out and loaded up)
***For the Big Break Competition, keep putter, ball mark, and 5 balls you are willing to lose
- 11:30 AM - 1:30 PM – Big Break Competition
- 2:00 PM – Bus departs for Afternoon excursion (Pints on the bus and mystery event, if weather permits)
- 5:00 PM – Baddeck Lobster Supper
- 7:30 PM – Leave Baddeck for Cabot Links
- 8:30 PM - Check In at Cabot Resort
- 9 PM - Pints at The Public House
Saturday, July 21
- 6:00 - 6:45 AM Breakfast at Cabot Links
- 6:30 - 7:00 AM Shuttle over to Cabot Cliffs takes 10 minutes. There is a nice driving range over at Cliffs
- 7:24 AM – Tee Times at Cabot Cliffs begin (Fourball Matches)
- 1:00 PM – 2:30 Pints and Lunch at Cabot Links
- 2:36 PM– Tee Times at Cabot Cliffs - Optional Round
- 9:00 PM – Pints and Dinner at The Public House
Sunday, July 22
- 6:00 - 7:00 AM Breakfast, British Open, and Check out of your room. They have a storage area for bags, and decent showering facilities for after the round
- 7:24 AM - The Final Singles Matches on Cabot Links
- 12:00 PM - The Lobster Boil Trophy is presented to the winning team over lunch and we watch the conclusion of the British Open
- 2:00 PM - they have showering facilities to wash up and pack up for bus ride and flight home
- 3:00 PM - Bus departs for Halifax airport
- 8:50 PM - Flight AC625 departs Halifax for Toronto
- 10:12 PM (EST) - Arrive at Pearson Airport
